It can be easy to attempt to learn all you can about a particular disease through research and reading, but often movies have a unique way of allowing us to fully experience, feel, and comprehend what the affliction is really all about – both for those who have it and also by those who love or care for someone with Alzheimer’s.
You may want to consider attending a special viewing of the movie “I’ll Be Me,” presented by the good people at American Senior Communities in Indianapolis and hosted by the University of Indianapolis.
This film will follow Country Music Singer Glen Campbell through his journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. There will also be a question and answer session with his wife, Kim, following the film.
All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and tickets are available for purchase at the senior communities listed at the bottom right of this flyer, above.
I’d like to offer a special, personal thanks to American Senior Communities in Indianapolis and the University of Indianapolis for putting together this event. Movies and educational events like this allow me and the entire team at The Indy Real Estate Experts to better understand the unique difficulties and emotions faced by our senior real estate clients with Alzheimer’s and the adult children and family caregivers who help them. It allows us to be better at our jobs and more compassionate and helpful as we assist senior clients with the sale of a family home and move to assisted living. So, again, thank you to all involved!
