Indianapolis Senior Living Series to Educate and Empower Indy’s Mature Homeowners in 2017
Free Monthly Seminars Will Focus on Candid Conversations on Late-In-Life Issues
Indianapolis, IN: When it comes to late-in-life housing issues like reverse mortgages, 55+ senior living options, selling a house in today’s market, home care assistance, and preparing to “stay put” in their own homes as they age-in-place, Indianapolis adults 55+ and senior citizens have had very few options when it comes to learning how to meet these unique challenges.
To better meet that need and serve Indy’s older adults, 2017 brings the “Indianapolis Senior Living Series,” monthly, educational panel discussions with Indy-area experts chosen specifically for their ability to clearly and succinctly educate attendees on the complex issues facing long-time homeowners as they age.
Presented by The Indy Real Estate Experts at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices
, each monthly panel in the ongoing series is hosted and moderated by Lisa Treadwell, Owner and Associate Broker of The Indy Real Estate Experts. She holds the designation of Certified Senior Housing Professional of the Seniors Real Estate Institute and Senior Real Estate Specialist® of the National Association of Realtors®. Treadwell specializes in working with senior real estate clients and their families, along with adults 55+ who are planning ahead for their future late-in-life needs.
“It is my mission to help Central Indiana’s mature homeowners and their families navigate through some tough decisions regarding downsizing or aging at home,” explains Treadwell. “I consider this an outreach to Indianapolis seniors because that’s exactly what it is. Not only am I excited to serve the community in this capacity, but so are the numerous local experts and great sponsors who are a part of this series!”
The Indianapolis Senior Living Series brings trusted resources together each month to discuss important topics like tax, financial & legal issues, de-cluttering, aging-in-place at home, other senior living options, downsizing, getting a property ready to sell, home care assistance, and much more.
The first seminar of 2017 takes place Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church at 100 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260 and includes answers to questions like:
How much should I list my house for? What things should I do to prepare my house to sell? Can I sell my house in as-is condition or do I need to make repairs/updates? When is the best time to list my house for sale?
Following the January session of the series, February’s event will take place on February 9, 2017 and focus on 55+ living options. Panelists will include placement services, assisted living representatives, builders, and more. All of the panelists will discuss senior living options, answer panel questions, and take questions from audience members.
