Indianapolis Retirement Community Reviews: Marquette Manor
Indianapolis Retirement Community Reviews: Marquette Manor
June 28, 2012

This is Part 3 of my review series focused on Indianapolis-area assisted living and retirement communities. As an Indianapolis, Indiana senior move expert, my goal is to visit all such facilities in the metropolitan area. With this information in-hand, I’m much better able to offer my senior real estate clients and their families recommendations concerning the communities that would be best-suited for their specific needs. I hope these reviews also provide a solid resource for you, the reader.

Marquette Manor is a simply beautiful facility located on 46 wooded acres on the north side of Indianapolis. As I walked into the building, my first thought was “my gosh, this looks like a hotel”!

Decorated in a tasteful and grand manner, the Marquette provides seniors Independent Living in either an apartment or cottage, Assisted Living in their Pavilion area, a specialized memory care neighborhood in Reflections at the Pavilion, and supportive nursing care in their licensed, Medicare Certified Health Care Center.

I met with Kate Webster, the marketing and move-in coordinator for Independent Living. ““From tours to choosing paint colors to the moving day, there are many details to be managed and questions to answer,” said Kate. “Our staff works very hard to make sure that the residents have a wonderful experience when they arrive.  We want them to tell their friends and family, ‘I wish I had moved to Marquette sooner!”

The hotel and resort feel continues at the Marquette with offerings like a personal trainer in their new Wellness Center. The trainer will develop a custom fitness and nutrition program tailored just for you. Other services available at the facility include a M&I Branch Bank, Two Hair Salons, Gift Shop/Convenience Store, Technology Center, Wireless Internet (in new common areas), Business Center, Local Transportation, Bi-Weekly Housekeeping, Weekly Linen Service, 24-hour Maintenance, 24-hour Security, Emergency Call Services, New Underground Parking (for new building only), and a Library.

For seniors able to enjoy the Independent Living option, Marquette Manor provides three financial options including an 80% Return-of-Capital plan, a 50% Return-of-Capital plan and an Endowment/Traditional plan. Sales counselors will work closely with each individual to determine the specific plan best suited for your financial or estate needs.

Simply put, Marquette Manor is a beautiful facility with a superb range of living, care and financial options bolstered by a stellar location and first-class set of services and amenities.

Feel free to contact me and I’ll provide more information on my impressions and knowledge of Marquette Manor, as well as suggestions on how to make the move of yourself or a senior loved one a bit easier, regardless of what facility you choose.

Sincerely,

Lisa Parrett
