In Pictures and Quotes: How We Help Indianapolis Seniors Sell a House and Move

by Lisa TreadwellPeople occasionally ask me what the difference is between a “regular” real estate agent and one – like me – who has engaged in specialized training to better serve seniors and all adults 55+. What I’ve learned is that it’s a whole different ballgame when an older adult is contemplating the sale of a home. There are SO many more things that must be addressed.

That’s why I chose to train with the Seniors Real Estate Institute and earn my designation as a Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP). The folks at the Institute recently released some graphics that nicely sum up some of the traits of a real estate agent like me who works with many seniors and adults 55+. This is why what we do is different and how we approach specialized care for senior clients in Indiana.

My job as an Indianapolis real estate agent is to help senior clients deal with the emotional and financial implications of a late-in-life move.
My job is to serve as a friend, adviser, and business partner to senior clients and their adult children
As an Indianapolis REALTOR, I help older clients manage the downsizing process efficiently.
My job is to work with the adult children of older seniors and the seniors themselves to create a move and a home sale where everyone works in harmony…as a partnership.
Are you a Central Indiana senior, adult 55+, or the family caregiver of an older senior contemplating the sale of an Indianapolis-area home? Contact us here for more details on how we help.
